Bear Cubs Reminder: Our athletes are volunteering their time to help coach your kids. Please, do not approach the benches during the game or yell at the coaches at any time. Again, these are also students and any intimidation or harassment toward them will not be tolerated. Bear Cubs is about instilling a love for basketball in our community with the younger students, building mentoring type relationships, building leadership skills in the older students volunteering their time and introducing the young to basketball. You may be asked to leave if you are not contributing to that goal. If there is something that needs to be discussed you may visit with Coach Stafford or administration. Thank you all.

Another fun day in 3rd grade at WCC Elementary! Yesterday was a Starbooks themed book tasting. Students "tasted" books from various genres and recorded their experiences with each book they tasted. As students rotated to math and writing, the Starbooks theme continued across the curriculum.

Grandparents day
Students that participate in Bear Cubs will need to follow end of the day procedures as normal, then brought back for Bear Cubs on days that there are games. They will not be allowed to stay in the gym after school on Bear Cub days. Parents must pick up kids that stay at Bear Necessities and bring them. They will not be dismissed unless they are picked up by a parent.

K-3 parents ONLY: We will begin testing students on 9-4. Please read over the information provided and familiarize yourself with the parent portal and parent resources. In order to get the most accurate results possible, students need to become familiar with the testing design . Students will be practicing with the training test at school, but parents may also practice at home using the instructions found through the link below. It is simple and fast but could help in BIG ways. https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1N0cMpjz4gQspKBdmdrkbnJk5hqQquXpAH5DOx17Llgc/pub?start=false&loop=false&delayms=3000

Total engagement while exploring The Five Senses in Mrs. Holowell's class on Friday 8/30. Students were "blindfolded" and then wrote using descriptive and specific language about how something sounded, tasted, looked, smelled, or felt.
